A modest upgrade of the SB-25, the SB-26 adds two functions: an 18mm diffuser and the ability to function as a wireless slave flash. Introduced in 1994.

| Key Features: | TTL flash control on most TTL-capable Nikon bodies, monitor pre-flash on F90/N90 or later bodies; Full power TTL, seven power level manual, and Automatic (six apertures) settings. LCD panel shows settings. Rear curtain sync. High Speed sync, Repeating flash, red-eye reduction, wireless remote. The SB-26 can synchronize with up to four additional flashes via cables. Unlimited numbers of SB-26’s can be fired in the wireless remote mode. Head tilts from –7 degrees below horizontal up to 90 degrees above horizontal, and rotates -180 degrees to plus 90 degrees clockwise. Built-in diffuser card. Aufofocus assist light. External power source terminal, TTL multiple flash terminal, sync/multiple flash terminal.
